Lucky for Life is now Millionaire for Life

The game ended. Here is what happened, and where the new nightly numbers are.

Lucky for Life held its last drawing on 21 February 2026

Lucky for Life is gone. Across most of the states that sold it, it was replaced by Millionaire for Life, a new nightly game with a top prize paid for life. A few states chose not to carry the new game, so if yours is one of them, check your state lottery for what it offers now.

What changed

Lucky for Life was five numbers from 1 to 48, plus a green Lucky Ball from 1 to 18. Its top prize was $1,000 a day for life, and second prize was $25,000 a year for life.

Millionaire for Life is five numbers from 1 to 58, plus a Millionaire Ball from 1 to 5, drawn every night. The top prize is still paid for life, which is the idea Lucky for Life was built on.

Still holding a Lucky for Life ticket?

A winning ticket is still a winning ticket after the game ends, but the claim window does not wait. It runs from 90 days to a year from the drawing date, depending on the state that sold it. Find your state's deadline on the lottery rules by state pages, and do not throw the ticket away until you have checked.
